LATEST NEWS

UPDATE - SUMMER 2017

It's great to have new pupils registered for harp lessons following the fun demonstration at our recent concert! Please get in touch if you would like to meet our harp tutor for a consultation, or are interested in lessons in any instrument.

In other news, we have had new enquiries from a few schools wanting music tuition for next year, so we are arranging meetings with them, when we are not proof-reading reports or preparing accounts for our end of year!

It's great to be so busy and we'd love to hear from you if you want some lessons, or help with any aspect of music!

Roundhay Music 30th Anniversary Concert

Congratulations to all of our pupils who performed at our 30th Anniversary Concert on Sunday at Leeds College of Music! Thanks to our Guest Artists for some amazing and inspiring performances and as always, to our supporting tutors and our wonderful accompanist, Sue Lenton.

We have some glossy SOUVENIR programmes available at the reduced cost from £2.00 to just 50p (+postage where applicable) for anyone who is interested. Please let us know if you would like one and we will a...rrange it with you (it includes a message from the directors about Roundhay Music and resumés about the guest artists and the pieces they performed).

Photos will follow very soon!

P.S. We hope you like our new logo...

SUMMER CONCERT 2017

Congratulations to all of our excellent performers at our Summer Concert! We are very proud of all of our pupils and grateful to family and friends who supported them. Many thanks also to our tutors who prepared their pupils to perform, helped us at the concert and accompanied their pupils, especially to Sue as always!
It was great to have a wide range of ages and standards playing and particularly beneficial for our younger pupils to hear some of our adults play. Thanks to Julie and her helpers from Tastebuds Café of Crossgates Tel 0113 2645198 for their super catering! Photos will be uploaded to this page very soon.

FEEDBACK FROM A ROUNDHAY MUSIC PUPIL

Do you have some spare time? If so, music tuition on a regular basis will provide a structure to your life based on regular practise and performing to your teacher. You will delight in mastering a new skill and deepen your musical appreciation. Age doesn't matter and taking examinations is not obligatory! As you confidently progress on your instrument, you will please and delight others, making new friends who are doing likewise.

I have been a Roundhay Music pupil for a long time and I now play in 2 church groups, a band to accompany adults with special needs in their singing, assist music therapists at a children's hospice and play regularly in a quartet. Go on! Go for it!
