Roundhay Music offers private tuition to people of any age or standard. We teach all instruments, singing, history of music, composition, theory and aural, in all styles (jazz, classical, folk, rock etc.). We cater for students who wish to take practical and theory graded examinations, music diplomas, G.C.S.E/AS/A Level music examinations and for those who wish to play for enjoyment only. We experience a high exam rate of merits and distinctions and there are frequent music scholarships to senior schools gained by our pupils. Many of our students go on to a career in music. Roundhay Music tutors are carefully selected from interview and audition as highly qualified teachers and experienced professional players specialising in their own particular instrument. All tutors have disclosures from the Criminal Records Bureau.
Students are readily given guidance on choosing instruments and information on local music clubs and events. Frequent discussions can be held between the directors of Roundhay Music, tutors, parents and pupils regarding the student’s progress and specific needs, so that continued satisfaction is given priority.
All tuition is arranged on an individual basis, tailored to the pupil’s requirements. Our fees are kept at the most reasonable level possible with both pupil and tutor in mind.
A consultation lesson is always made before routine lessons are booked so that there is no obligation until you have been introduced to a tutor and are happy with arrangements.
